Foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Venezuela hold consultations

The first consular consultations between Azerbaijani and Venezuelan foreign ministries have been held in a videoconference format, Report informs, citing Azerbaijani MFA.

Azerbaijan was represented in the consultations by MFA's Consular Department Head Emil Safarov and Venezuela was represented by the Director General of the Consular Relations Office of the Foreign Ministry Maria Rafaela Suarez Hernandez.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Venezuela Ruslan Rzayev and the Ambassador of Venezuela to Azerbaijan Christopher Martinez also attended the meeting.

During the consultations, the current state and development prospects of consular cooperation between Azerbaijan and Venezuela, as well as the possibilities of expanding the bilateral contractual and legal framework in this area, were discussed.

At the same time, the importance of exchanging advanced experience in the provision of digital consular services was emphasized during the consultations.

In addition, issues of cooperation between the two countries in migration, labor, social protection and other areas were considered.
