Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan and EU agree on practical steps for new strategic partnership agreement

Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) have agreed to implement practical steps for a new strategic partnership agreement in the near future, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission.
Report quotes the minister as saying Azerbaijan and the EU have agreed on 90-95% of the agreement's points: "In recent years, there has been stagnation on this issue. Today we discussed the matter again and agreed on practical steps to complete the coordination of the document. The open questions concerned economy and trade. The agreement can be supplemented at the next stage."
