FM: Situation around Lachin road is political, not humanitarian, as claimed by Armenia

The current situation around the Lachin road is not humanitarian, as claimed by Armenia, but rather political, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, told the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Laszlo Kover, within the framework of his official visit to Hungary, Report informs.

In the meeting, it was noted that the proposal to open the Aghdam-Khankandi road and in parallel to intensify the use of the Lachin road to meet the needs of the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan as part of the reintegration process into Azerbaijani society was rejected. It was said that the rejection of Azerbaijan's proposals shows that the current situation around the Lachin road is not of a humanitarian nature, as claimed by Armenia, but rather of a political nature.
