Foreign minister says natural resources development key area in Somalia-Azerbaijan ties

The development of natural resources plays an important role in the cooperation between Somalia and Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with his Somali counterpart Abdisalam Abdi Ali, Report informs.
Bayramov noted that the application of Azerbaijan’s ASAN Service model in Somalia is among the areas of planned cooperation.
He also highlighted the importance of educational collaboration, announcing that starting this year, noting that Azerbaijan has allocated 20 scholarship slots for Somali students.
Bayramov emphasized that the two countries also demonstrated strong cooperation in 2024 within the framework of Azerbaijan’s COP29 presidency.
