Azerbaijan supports the two-state solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Baku on January 18, Report informs.
Bayramov also touched upon regional security issues.
"The situation in the Middle East was discussed. The integration of the new government in Syria is very important for our region. We are also looking forward to the Hamas-Israel ceasefire, which was reached recently, to take effect tomorrow. We hope this step will create conditions for positive steps to be taken. Azerbaijan supports the resolution of this conflict based on the two-state principle," he added.
