Expert: International Court of Justice must impose sanctions on Armenia

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) must impose sanctions on Armenia, force the leadership of Yerevan to hand over maps of landmines and to stop the pollution of the liberated territories with mines, which prevents the return of Azerbaijanis once expelled from here, Khalid Teymur Akram, an analyst on international relations, told Report.

Many countries, including Pakistan have strictly condemned such acts and are uneasy with such war waging nature, he said. "Thus, I believe that ICJ must take stern actions against Armenia as there are many evidences that clearly unveil Yerevan’s brutalities and state-sponsored terrorism."

He also noted that it is evident from many incidents that Armenia has been persistent in violating the trilateral ceasefire agreement and indulged in state sponsored terrorism.

"Yerevan’s hostile movements and placing of more mines/booby traps are clear manifestation that the pessimistic leadership is not true to the cause of humanity and is detrimental to regional peace and security. International community must hold Armenian government accountable for its inhumane acts. It must put sanctions on the government," he concluded.
