EU interested in political dialogue with Azerbaijan on reconstruction of Syria

The European Union (EU) is interested in political dialogue with Azerbaijan on the reconstruction of Syria and other similar international issues, the EU's Office for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy told Report.

It was noted that the EU is the largest donor providing humanitarian aid to the Syrian people and has increased its support after the fall of the Assad regime:

"In February, the EU eased sanctions applied to key sectors of the Syrian economy to accelerate reconstruction work. In March, approximately 5.8 billion euros were raised at an EU-led donor conference to support Syria's long-term development," the EU Office said.
