EU envoy wraps up mission, departs Azerbaijan - UPDATED

Peter Michalko, who has completed his diplomatic service as the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Azerbaijan, has left the country, the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan said in response to a request from Report.

They noted that the diplomat departed from Azerbaijan this morning.

The EU Delegation bids farewell to Ambassador Peter Michalko, who has completed four years of distinguished diplomatic service in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

“We thank for his dedication and contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between the EU and Azerbaijan and wish him and Mrs. Miroslava Michalková every success in their future endeavours. They will be truly missed in Azerbaijan,” the EU Delegation wrote on Facebook.
