He made this announcement while speaking about his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on March 5.

"Additionally, my brother Ilham Aliyev and I discussed many important issues, especially peace talks with Armenia," Erdogan told journalists after the Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

On March 5, the opening ceremony of the Ighdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline was held in Ankara via video link. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the event.

During the opening ceremony, it was highlighted that the Ighdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline project will enhance the welfare of both Nakhchivan and Ighdir populations, while diversifying Nakhchivan's gas supply. Another notable feature of the project is that while the current maximum transmission capacity of the pipeline is 730 million cubic meters, there are opportunities for future expansion.
