Envoy: US grateful to Azerbaijan for Afghan mission support

The US is grateful to Azerbaijan for supporting the mission in Afghanistan, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger said, Report informs.
He added that long-term cooperation in the field of security has been established between the US and Azerbaijan.
“I express my deep thanks to Azerbaijan for its support in Afghanistan from the beginning till the end. The country was last to leave Afghanistan and was helping at the airport,” the ambassador noted.
Azerbaijan’s peacekeeping contingent, performing official duties at the Kabul International Airport, consisting of 120 people, was withdrawn from Afghanistan on August 26 this year.
