Deputy Foreign Minister: Italy supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

Italy supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy Edmondo Cirielli said at a meeting with Azerbaijani president's representative for special assignments, Elchin Amirbayov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in the South Caucasus and the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Reaffirming Italy's support for the territorial integrity of both countries, Cirielli called on Baku and Yerevan for dialogue to achieve lasting peace.

The deputy minister also expressed satisfaction with the excellent level of bilateral relations, confirmed by the current strategic partnership between Rome and Baku.

Azerbaijani president's representative for special assignments, Elchin Amirbayov, met with Italian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, Report informs.

Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) shared on X that the importance of strengthening bilateral strategic partnership in all fields was noted at the meeting.

It was emphasized that Italy carefully monitors the processes in the region and supports the dialogue.
