Dereck Hogan: US ready to support Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process

The US is ready to support the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Dereck Hogan said in a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs.

Hogan noted that in order to establish lasting peace and security in the region, it is important that the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia be successful and the existing issues be resolved through negotiations.

He added that the US is ready to support the peace process.
