Deputy PM: Azerbaijan-US dialogue based on mutual trust

The implementation of joint initiatives by Azerbaijan and the United States, based on a shared strategic vision, has created a solid foundation for mutually beneficial and long-term cooperation, while ensuring peace and lasting prosperity in the region.

Report informs that Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov said this at an event marking the 250th anniversary of US Independence.

According to him, official Baku is confident that the dialogue based on mutual trust between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and US President Donald Trump will ensure the continued development of bilateral cooperation.

"This will contribute to the further expansion of economic and investment cooperation, as well as to deepening joint activity in all areas of mutual interest," Sharifov said.

The deputy prime minister also stressed that, over its 250 years of statehood, the United States has played an exceptional role in shaping and developing world politics, the global economy and the system of international relations, taking a worthy place among the world's leading powers.
