On October 21, a meeting of the delegation from New Caledonia with a group of MPs was held in Azerbaiajn’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), Report informs.

At the meeting, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Tural Ganjaliyev, spoke about the disasters brought to the world by neocolonialism.

He noted that Azerbaijan stands with the Pacific states and the countries that have been colonized.

Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov, during his speech, recalled that his institution was created in August of this year. According to him, great work has been done in a short period of time, and 2 international events have been held.

According to Abbasov, the main purpose of the events is the fight against neocolonialism.

Member of the Milli Majlis Javanshir Feyziyev stressed that despite the abolition of colonialism in the whole world by the UN decision, France still continues this policy.

The representative of Martinique, Francis Carole, also spoke about France's neocolonialism policy. According to him, as in many other places, France implemented a colonial policy in Martinique and took away the will of the local people.

At the end of the event, the guests thanked Azerbaijan for the created conditions and initiative. They expressed their hope that other countries will join Azerbaijan’s initiative.
