Date and venue of first Uzbek-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary forum announced

The first Uzbek-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary forum "In search of new horizons: from dialogue to joint actions" will be held on July 1-2 in the Uzbek city of Khiva.

As Report informs, this was stated in a message from the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

The forum will be attended by members of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the Youth Parliaments of the two countries.

The purpose of the forum is to further deepen inter-parliamentary cooperation, exchange experience in legislative activities and implementation of parliamentary control, as well as to assist in the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.

"Following the results of the forum, it is planned to adopt a final document aimed at improving the legal framework for further strengthening strategic partnership, expanding bilateral cooperation in priority areas, as well as effective implementation of joint initiatives," the message emphasizes.
