Cultural session of second int’l conference dedicated to Western Azerbaijan held

The cultural session of the second international conference "The Right to Return: Advancing Justice for Azerbaijanis Expelled from Armenia," organized by the Western Azerbaijan Community, has been held in Baku, Report informs.

The Zira Cultural Center hosted the session.

Participants of the event watched a film about the cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijanis that was destroyed in Armenia. The film provided detailed information about the history, heritage, as well as rich monuments and music of Western Azerbaijan. The cultural session continued with a concert program.

The conference, held on December 5-6, attracted more than 100 foreign guests from 51 countries.

December 5 is observed as the day of remembrance for the deportation of Western Azerbaijanis during 1987-1991. On this significant date in 2023, a similar international conference was held.
