Charles Michel: Meeting between leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia is very important

The meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia to be held today is very important, European Council President Charles Michel told journalists before the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Political Community Summit in Chisinau, Moldova, Report informs.

“Today's meeting is very important. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Brussels,” he said.

Michel said that there is some progress in the negotiations.

The President of the Council of the European Union hopes that today's meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia will be an opportunity to confirm the common political will for the normalization of relations between the two countries.
