British Foreign Secretary: London ready to assist in investigation of AZAL plane crash

London is ready to support the investigation into the causes of the AZAL plane crash near Aktau, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said during a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.

According to Report, during the conversation, the British Foreign Secretary once again expressed his condolences regarding the tragic air disaster. He stated that Britain is always ready to provide support in investigating the causes of the tragedy and in the investigation process.

An AZAL passenger plane operating the Baku-Grozny flight crashed on December 25, 2024, near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died and 29 survived.

According to preliminary data, the plane crashed as a result of physical and technical external interference in Russian airspace.
