Azerbaijani, Russian FMs discuss situation on Lachin road

On December 22, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation, Russian MFA said, Report informs.

The ministers also discussed the tense situation in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent due to the illegal exploitation of deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan.

According to the information, Lavrov stressed the importance of strict adherence to tripartite agreements.

The minister said it is necessary to continue the dynamic work towards the implementation of the tripartite statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia dated November 10, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, as well as October 31, 2022.
