Azerbaijani representative meets with foreign minister of Palestine

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki met with the head of Azerbaijan's Representative Office in Palestine, Ilham Nazarli, Report informs.

The minister highly appreciated the friendly and brotherly relations between Palestine and Azerbaijan, the historical relations and the close historical and cultural values that unite the peoples of both countries.

Riyad Al-Maliki said that Azerbaijan's decision to open a representative office in Ramallah is a very positive step, and it will strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan in many fields, especially in the field of tourism and education, and will contribute to the strengthening of relations between the two countries.

The minister also stressed that Azerbaijan's solidarity with Palestine, voting in favor of resolutions related to the Palestinian problem in the UN and all other international circles, and fulfilling the obligation to support UNRWA are of great importance to Palestine.

At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Minister wished success to the representative of Azerbaijan, Ilham Nazarli, in his new mission. He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine and various sectors of the organization are ready to support him with all their capabilities in order for the diplomatic activity of the representative of Azerbaijan in Palestine to be successful.

Ilham Nazarli, in turn, conveyed the greetings of Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to Riyad Al-Maliki.
