Azerbaijani PM meets with WHO Director-General at COP29

On November 12, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, during the opening ceremony of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP29, held in Baku, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers told Report.
During the meeting, confidence was expressed that COP29 would contribute to international efforts aimed at promoting the green agenda.
Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization have a long-standing and effective cooperation, which was also highlighted during the discussion.
The meeting also touched upon the ongoing healthcare reforms in Azerbaijan and the collaboration between the two parties in reducing the impact of climate change on human health.
