Azerbaijani PM meets Turkish vice president

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz, who is on an official visit to the country, Report informs referring to the Cabinet of Ministers.

During the meeting the importance of the official visit of the vice president of Türkiye was noted in terms of further strengthening good neighborly and fraternal relations between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to the efforts of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the comprehensive development of strategic partnership and alliance.

It was noted with satisfaction that Azerbaijan and Türkiye have always supported each other.

It was emphasized that trade and economic cooperation has very high dynamics. Last year, the volume of mutual trade amounted to about $6 billion, showing an increase of 25%. Over the 11 months of this year, the growth was 33%.

The parties discussed issues related to the expansion of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations in agriculture, humanitarian, educational, tourism and other areas.
