Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker: Multilateral cooperation is the only way to peace

Azerbaijan single-handedly implemented UN resolutions, restoring its territorial integrity, Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said at the opening of the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in Baku.

Report informs that, according to her, compliance with international norms and principles is a key necessity for peace, and multilateral cooperation is the only way to achieve it.

Gafarova noted that one of the main goals of parliamentarism is for parliaments to extend beyond national borders.

"We are also on the way to making a decision on forming the APA budget. All this will create the necessary conditions for strengthening the Asian Parliamentary Assembly," she added.
