Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expresses condolences to India

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences to India in connection with the collision of trains near the city of Balasore, Report informs.

“Deeply saddened by the news of terrible passenger train accident in India. We express our deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragic accident & share the grief of the people and Government of the Republic of India,” the ministry tweeted.

The accident happened on June 2 evening near the city of Balasore. Several versions of what transpired were offered by officials. According to one of them, the cars of a passenger train derailed, causing an oncoming passenger express to crash into them, a freight train was also involved in the accident.
