Azerbaijani FM briefs UK minister on situation on Lachin road, Armenia’s provocations

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in a telephone conversation with UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Leo Docherty, informed about the situation on the Lachin road and Armenia’s provocations, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

During a telephone conversation, the parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, the situation in the region and the prospects for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed Leo Docherty about the current situation around the Lachin road. It was brought to the attention that protests against illegal economic activities are the legitimate right of the Azerbaijani people, that statements about the blockade and the humanitarian situation are unfounded, that humanitarian goods are transported along the road and about 2,000 vehicles have passed so far.
