Azerbaijan, US discuss cooperation in demining

Azerbaijan and the United States have discussed prospects for further cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told Report.
ANAMA Chairman of the Board Vugar Suleymanov met with Amy Carlon, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, information was presented on the mine problem in Azerbaijan and the current progress of humanitarian demining operations. Possible areas of US support, as well as other issues of mutual interest, were also discussed.
