Azerbaijan's permanent rep in letter to UN Sec.-Gen. draws attention to Armenia's inflammatory rhetoric

Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN Tofig Musayev in a letter to Secretary General Antonio Guterres drew attention to the inflammatory rhetoric of the representative of Armenia, Report informs referring to the press service of the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission.

The letter was distributed as an official document of the UN General Assembly and Security Council.

In particular, it is highly ironic that Armenia, a mono-ethnic state with a long-standing and deeply rooted policy of ethnic exclusivity and intolerance, where international terrorists, war criminals and racist ideologists are welcomed and promoted as national heroes, volunteered to speak at the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, according to the letter.

In fact, as expected, such a speech had the exact opposite effect for Armenia, leaving member states bewildered and confused by the blatant discrepancy between the conciliatory statements of its leadership on the one hand, and the inflammatory rhetoric of the same country's representative to the UN on the other, the diplomatic mission noted in the letter.
