Azerbaijan, Philippines to ink first intergovernmental agreement in culture

The first intergovernmental document between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts of the Philippines will be signed in Manila, said Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, who is on a visit to the Philippines, Report informs referring to The Manila Times.

The visit will also see the first round of political consultations between the two countries.

“Azerbaijan wants to 'reinvigorate' bilateral relations with the Philippines as it aims to explore possible deeper cooperation in various fields such as culture, tourism, trade and energy,” he noted, adding that in 2022, Azerbaijan and the Philippines celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
