Azerbaijan, Pakistan may hold new round of political consultations in 2026

Azerbaijan and Pakistan may hold another round of interministerial political consultations as early as next year, Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin told Report.

According to the diplomat, the 9th meeting of the intergovernmental commission, in turn, is planned in two years.

"The meeting of the intergovernmental commission is held annually, the 8th one was held this year, on January 24. However, the agenda of the meetings is extensive, in this regard, it takes several years to organize. In January, we also held political consultations. Therefore, I believe that the next round may take place as early as next year, and a high-level intergovernmental meeting - in two years," Mohiuddin said.

The ambassador also emphasized the importance of mutual high-level visits, noting that such visits are not expected in the near future.
