​​​​​​​Azerbaijan, Montenegro hold consular consultations

Consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Montenegro have been held in Baku, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by the Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Emil Safarov, the Montenegrin delegation was headed by the Director General for Consular Relations and Cooperation with the Diaspora of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Ivana Dukanovic.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the consular sphere, the possibilities of expanding the bilateral legal framework, as well as the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of both countries.

Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience in the field of digitalization of consular services and visa policy issues. In addition, proposals for expanding cooperation in the areas of legal assistance, employment, social protection and tourism were considered.

The parties agreed to implement the necessary steps to deepen cooperation in a number of areas.
