Participation of several Iranian religious figures in anti-Azerbaijan activities is unacceptable, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan, Seyed Jafar Aghaei Maryan, as he was summoned to MFA, Report informs.
It was noted that instead of Imam Jom'a Seyid Hassan Ameli apologizing for the insulting statements made against Azerbaijan during the meeting in Ardabil, conducting a campaign supporting Ameli, and the participation of several religious figures, including the Imam Jom'a of Gazvin, in anti-Azerbaijan activities is unacceptable.
