The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan held regular consultations on consular issues in Baku.
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry told Report that during the consultations, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by the head of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emil Safarov, and the delegation of Kazakhstan was headed by the director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country Bauyrzhan Akatayev.
During the consultations, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in the consular field with Kazakhstan, including the signing of new bilateral documents and the possibility of digitalizing consular services.
The parties also emphasized the need to take joint measures to strengthen ties between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in migration, education and other important areas.
Following the meeting, the delegations of the two countries signed a protocol of the event.
