Azerbaijan highlights Caspian Sea efforts at UN conference

Azerbaijan is taking important steps toward protecting the marine ecosystem, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva said at the 3rd UN Ocean Conference, focused on accelerating actions to conserve and sustainably use the ocean in line with SDG 14.

Report informs, citing COP29 post on X, that Abdullayeva spoke about the protective measures Azerbaijan is implementing in the Caspian Sea, emphasizing the importance of a global, joint response to shared challenges—similar to what was seen at COP29 in Baku.
