Azerbaijan concerned about situation surrounding Iran's nuclear facilities

Azerbaijan has expressed concern over the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear facilities amid Israeli attacks, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, according to Report.

Minister Bayramov noted Azerbaijan's concern about the escalating situation in the region. He also expressed condolences to Iran over the deaths of the Chief of the General Staff, several officials, and civilians.

Bayramov further emphasized that the situation around the nuclear facilities is worrisome and stressed the importance of resolving existing issues within the framework of principles of international law through dialogue and diplomatic means.

"Given the danger of the conflict spreading to a wider region, the importance of restoring diplomatic efforts was once again underlined," the MFA statement said.
