Azerbaijan and Lithuania hold inter-ministerial political consultations

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Lithuania held political consultations.

According to Report, the discussions were led by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and Julius Pranavicius, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Pranavicius was received by Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, as well as the regional and international situation.

The meeting highlighted the significant potential for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economy, trade, energy security, and humanitarian issues. Both sides emphasized the importance of the political consultation mechanism for addressing these matters. The development of partnerships within multilateral platforms was also underlined.

Additionally, the meeting included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest, as noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
