Azerbaijan and China mull expansion of economic cooperation

Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation with the Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Lin Keqing, Report informs, citing the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The meeting noted that Azerbaijan-China relations have risen to the level of strategic partnership, with trade, economic, and investment cooperation strengthening between the two countries. Chinese companies are actively participating in projects implemented in Azerbaijan. About 320 Chinese companies operate in the country in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport, construction, trade, and services.

Information was also provided about the favorable business environment in Azerbaijan and directions for developing mutually beneficial partnerships. The wide potential for economic partnership with China, including with the country's Guangdong province, was noted across various areas.

The parties discussed the development of cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, investment, transport-transit, and other areas.
