Asan Jakishev: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan to deepen co-op in IT sector

Trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan continue to develop in a positive way, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan Asan Jakishev told Report on the sidelines of the sixth ECO business forum in the city of Shusha, Report informs.

He noted that the key areas of cooperation remain the food industry, the agro-industrial complex, and energy.

"These areas have historically been the basis of our economic ties. At the same time, we are seeing a growing interest in new areas, in particular, information technology," he said.

Jakishev emphasized that Kazakhstan has significant potential in the field of digitalization and calls on Central Asian countries, including Azerbaijan, to intensify cooperation in this area.

"Digital solutions significantly simplify the work of government agencies and improve the quality of life of citizens. I am confident that there is great potential for deepening the partnership between our countries," he added.
