Andrii Sybiha: Ukraine is interested in ending conflict with Russia this year

Official Kyiv is interested in ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine this year, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said during a joint press conference with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs.

According to Andrii Sybiha, the Ukrainian side advocates for resolving the conflict exclusively through democratic means: "We accepted the US ceasefire proposal. We are ready to resolve the issue only through diplomacy. The Istanbul meeting, where a decision was made regarding the exchange of numerous prisoners, is proof of our intention."

The minister also noted that organizing a personal meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian leaders is currently being discussed.
