Amin Mammdov: If Karasev could insult foreign head of state without consequences, then he might do same towards Russian leader

If Vladimir Karasev was able to insult the head of a foreign state without facing consequences, one can assume that the day is not far off when he might use a similar style of communication towards the Russian leadership, said Amin Mammadov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry of Azerbaijan, commenting on Karasev's words, Report informs.

"This happened after Ilham Aliyev stated Russia's involvement in the crash of Azerbaijan's AZAL passenger aircraft in the sky over Grozny. If the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation considers this speech in line with their ethical standards, it becomes clear what level they are at now," Mammadov noted.

"Unfortunately, in modern Russia, it is becoming increasingly common for public figures and people with high social status to allow themselves to use crude and offensive rhetoric," he continued.

"Previously, Russian public figures served as examples of high culture and moral principles, however, today these qualities are unfortunately lost. And now someone like Karasev, who is far from cultural values, is discussing the AZAL aircraft," Mammadov concluded.

Earlier Vladimir Karasev, a member of the Coordination Council under the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and political scientist, voiced offensive statements against the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
