ADA University hosts event dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi

ADA University hosted an event dedicated to the memory of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi - 'Nizami Ganjavi: poet and sage. Values ​​and the path to wisdom.'

Report informs that greeting the guests, Rector of ADA University Hafiz Pashayev noted that the great poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi left an indelible mark on the history of mankind. Meanwhile, his creative activity and the principles of humanism are still relevant today.

Pashayev thanked the co-chairs of the Nizami Ganjavi Center, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, for participating in this event.

The co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Ismail Serageldin spoke about the important legacy of this outstanding poet and thinker. According to him, the personality and creative activity of Nizami Ganjavi is known not only in Azerbaijan, but throughout the world.

Former Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz bin Osman al-Tuwaijri noted that the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is of great importance in promoting the poet's activity in the world.

In his speech, the former Chairman of the UN General Assembly, Volkan Bozkir, noted that today the world is facing various challenges, including food shortages: "The first stage of problems occurred during the COVID pandemic, we were not ready for it. The second global problem is the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the consequences of this war, which led to an energy crisis, problems with the supply of grain.

Bozkir noted that food security has become a serious problem for the planet, as a number of countries faced food shortages.

Former President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, in turn, said that the activities of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center allow finding answers to such pressing global problems and challenges.
