Baku. 18 April. REPORT.AZ/ “Spanish club Valencia has really been interested in talks with Robert Prosinečki. The club's sport director personally told me about this.”
Robert Prosinečki’s manager Yaşar Çalışır told Report.
Turkish manager said that the purpose of his current trip to Spain is not negotiation with Valencia. Telling that he has other things to do in Spain, Y. Çalışır also stated his opinion on possibility of Prosinečki’s agreement with the “bats”: “Prosinečki has a contract with Azerbaijan's national football team. We haven’t received any official request. The fact that Valencia is interested in Prosinečki doesn’t mean that he will leave Azerbaijan national team and go to Spain. Prosinečki is a good specialist. Many clubs may be interested in him and they are already interested. But this is my duty as manager. Prosinečki has no information about these talks. He only thinks about Azerbaijan national team, 2018 World Cup qualification group match with North Ireland. Such things are normal for football. Clubs may inquire about traits of coaches. Similarly, specialists also prefer to work with clubs matching them”.
Notably, Robert Prosinečki played for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla in his career. He heads Azerbaijan national team since December 2014. Prosinečki’s contract expires in December 2017.
