Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on strengthening their squad for next season, and one of the names high on their list is Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, Report informs via Madrid Universal.
According to Fichajes, the French club is preparing an offer worth €80 million to tempt Los Blancos into selling the young talent during the summer transfer window.
The reason behind PSG’s interest in Camavinga is linked to their need for midfield reinforcements, especially with the possible departure of Fabian Ruiz on the horizon.
PSG Manager Luis Enrique believes that the addition of the Real Madrid player would bring energy and balance to his team, as he looks to build a more competitive squad for the coming campaign.
Despite being a key part of Real Madrid’s squad, Camavinga has struggled at times to establish himself as an undisputed starter under Carlo Ancelotti this season, but that is largely down to the extreme competition in midfield.
Furthermore, his ability to play in multiple positions has been both an advantage and a challenge, as he has been deployed across various roles rather than settling into a single position.
At 22 years old, Camavinga has a long-term contract with Real Madrid that runs until 2029. He has featured in 19 matches so far this season, contributing one goal and two assists.
