Napoli have announced their winger Matteo Politano has tested positive for COVID, Report informs, citing foreign media.
“SSC Napoli inform that Matteo Politano has tested positive for Covid-19 following a test carried out yesterday,” a club statement read.
“The player, who has had both doses of the vaccine, is asymptomatic and is self-isolating at his home.”
Politano, 28, has played 16 games across all competitions this season, scoring two goals and delivering four assists.
The Partenopei visit Inter in a key Serie A clash on Sunday at 17.00 UK time.
Hirving Lozano is expected to start in Napoli’s attack with Victor Osimhen and Lorenzo Insigne.
