Mattia Zaccagni could be tempted by the interest from Scudetto winners Napoli, especially after Lazio failed to qualify for Europe, Report informs via Football Italia.
The winger turns 30 later this month and has a key role at the Stadio Olimpico, having recently signed a contract to 2029 and wearing the captain’s armband this season.
However, the dismal end to the current campaign could change the situation, as the Biancocelesti’s 1-0 home defeat to 10-man Lecce saw them miss out on Europe altogether.
The Aquile are eager to keep hold of club captain Zaccagni and hope that the return of coach Maurizio Sarri, which was made official today, could be enough to convince him to stay.
Antonio Conte is an admirer of the Italy international and is eager to bring him in following the Scudetto and Champions League qualification.
They had already tried to sign him in January when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was sold to Paris Saint-Germain.
