Qarabag midfielder, Brazilian Kady Borges, spoke in an interview with Report about the upcoming game with Neftchi in the XXXI round of the Misli Premier League and the chances of the Aghdam team to win the championship. He especially emphasized that his team will aspire to success in the European Cups next season and strives to bring joy to the fans.
- Today you are meeting with Neftchi in the Premier League. What are your expectations from this match?
- As always, we are aiming for victory. Nothing changes. Our goal is 3 points. However, I would call the game with Neftchi a derby. Our matches against this team are of great interest in Azerbaijan. I hope that this time will not be an exception. We have been preparing very seriously for the match all week. The atmosphere in the team is very good. I hope that we will be able to give our fans spectacular football and please them with a victory.
- Qarabag can become champions in this round. To do this, the team must defeat Neftchi, and the closest rival of the Aghdam team, the Zira team, must suffer losses in the match with Sumgait. Do you think you can secure gold medals this week?

- First of all, we are focused on the games. Our principle is that after a victorious end to one match, we immediately focus on the next one. Now we have a chance to become champions. We are aware of this situation. But for now, we are only thinking about the meeting with Neftchi. Victory is very important for us, because first of al,l we must fulfill the task before us.
- You joined the team during the winter break and scored 5 goals in the last 9 rounds, contributing to the team's victory in several matches. Did you expect that your performance would be so high upon returning to Qarabag?
- Yes, I felt that I could perform well, because I set myself the goal of improving the quality of the game every time. It is important for me to develop all the time. True, my results are not bad, but my ambitions are much higher. I work on myself every day. I think that my potential allows it. I want to achieve success for myself and be useful to Qarabag.
- When you came to Qarabag, the team had already 'said goodbye' to the Europa League. Do you think that if you had been in the team from the beginning of the current season, the team would have performed better?
- It is difficult for me to answer this question. If I had been on the team at the beginning of the season, perhaps the results would have been even worse. Who knows, maybe we would not have even been able to get a ticket to the UEFA Europa League. It is difficult to talk hypothetically about the past. It is more appropriate to talk about the future.
- During the winter break, you signed a 4-year contract with the club. Will Qarabag fans be able to see the desired game in European competitions from the team in the coming years?

- Again, this is a hypothetical question. We live in real life and can talk about events that are taking place. Football has many visible and invisible sides. It is difficult to predict and foresee anything. Sometimes it happens that you play the best match of your career, but lose. Or, on the contrary, you don’t perform brilliantly, but the victory is yours. I can only promise that as a footballer, I will give my best. Of course, my teammates also set big goals for themselves. We are all optimistic about the future. Next season, we want to successfully perform in the European Cups. But how it will be, time will tell.

- After leaving Qarabag in 2022, you played in the Russian and Hungarian championships. Can you compare the Azerbaijan Premier League with these championships?
- I can highlight the Russian championship a little. The organization of the games and the structure are different. The championship is held at a higher level. But there is not much difference with the Hungarian league. The quality of the footballers playing in Azerbaijan is not much different from the Hungarian ones. The level of the matches is also. I can note one thing: in Hungary, fans show more interest in the local championship. Unfortunately, this is not the case in Azerbaijan.
