The most successful Slovenian football referee Damir Skomina officially announced the end of his career at Monday's press conference at Brdo pri Kranju, Report informs, citing foreign media.
Skomina started his referee career in 1994. He debuted at the international arena on April 30, 2003, officiating the match between the national teams of Hungary and Luxembourg. He also served as the main arbiter at the game for UEFA Supercup in 212, the Europa League final in 2017, and the Champions League final in 2019. He officiated the matches of Euro-2008 as the fourth referee, Euro-2012, Euro-2016, World Cup 2018.
He didn't officiate any matches at Euro-2020 due to a knee injury.
