Europa League: Neftchi to play HJK

Today Neftchi FC will hold a second-leg match in the 3rd qualification round of the UEFA Europa League in football.

Report informs that the team captained by Samir Abasov will face HJK in Helsinki, Finland. The match starts at 20:00 Baku time and is officiated by the German referee of Turkish descent, Deniz Aytekin.

The first match between these teams at the Bakcell Arena stadium on August 3 ended in a 2:2 draw. Since UEFA annulled the goal rule in an away match, extra time will be needed at any draw.

Neftchi’s Namiq Alasgarov will miss the match due to injury, while Hugo Basto won’t participate due to the coronavirus infection.

The winner of the pair will play Turkey’s Fenerbahce in the Europa League playoff.
