Porto’s forward Mehdi Taremi was voted the player of the week after the games of the 5th round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League, Report informs, citing the official website of UEFA.
The 30-year-old Iranian forward beat Rafa Silva from Benfica, Lionel Messi from PSG, and Giovanni Simeone from Napoli.
Taremi netted twice in Porto’s 4-0 victory over Club Brugge.
