The UK Minister of State for Europe and North America, Leo Docherty, and the UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld, visited the monument to the well-known Azerbaijani football referee Tofiq Bahramov, Report informs, citing the ambassador's tweet.
The ambassador wrote in Azerbaijani: "Football is very popular both in Great Britain and Azerbaijan. Tofiq Bahramov's fair decision played a great role in England winning the World Cup in 1966. Therefore, we wanted to come here with Minister Leo Dockerty."
