The renowned portal FourFourTwo has compiled a list of the greatest defenders in the history of the English Premier League.
According to Report, the list is topped by former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand.
Ashley Cole, who played for Chelsea and Arsenal, secured second place. Virgil Van Dijk, known for his time at Liverpool and Southampton, completes the top three.
Other notable defenders in the top 10 include John Terry (Chelsea), Kyle Walker (Manchester City, Tottenham, Aston Villa), Vincent Kompany (Manchester City), Nemanja Vidic (Manchester United), Tony Adams (Arsenal), Sol Campbell (Tottenham, Arsenal, Portsmouth, Newcastle), and Gary Neville (Manchester United).
